On Wellness, Abundance, Faith, & Gemstones

My job as a Vedic Gemologist keeps me connected to insightful people from all over the world. I’m always listening to and learning about our collective spiritual experiences through the work I do for Astrological Gem.

If there’s one thing I think my clients would all like to tell each other right now, it’s that even in social isolation, we are absolutely not alone. As the weeks go on, we’re having a lot of opportunities to practice new creative ways of loving and connecting with each other. A lot of people are working on the art of surrender, of stillness, of silence, and of personal recalibration. Focusing on mental, emotional, and spiritual health is a priority for almost everyone in addition to physical health. So be sure to get lots of rest, give yourself permission to fully feel everything you need to feel, keep your body hydrated, and don’t forget to breathe deeply into your solar plexus as much as possible. We are a resilient species. This too shall pass. This is also a great time to look deeply into what you want for your future. I have a feeling that the time is coming for us to start pioneering some brand new ways of being culturally.

In the meantime, let’s talk about Jyotish gemstones and how they can help us through these unprecedented times.

For a technical review, you can read more about how Jyotish gemstones work here.

1.) Gemstones for Wellness

We’ve been getting calls and emails from people wondering how Jyotish gemstones can promote health. Let me first remind everyone that that we do not claim to cure, prevent, or treat any diseases with gemstones. That is the domain of the medical industry exclusively and it would be unethical for us to imply otherwise. (Read more about ethics in the Jyotish gemstone trade here.)

What gems can do: We do know with certainty that Jyotish gemstones promote wellness. A properly prescribed gem increases our ability to tune into the power of our higher selves, to connect with our greatest sense of purpose, and to optimally channel the wisdom that intrinsically resides within and around us.

When we are in alignment energetically, it naturally creates opportunities for wellness to spring forth. How that manifests is different for every individual but gems are a tool that we can use to amplify and expedite the process. Jyotish gemstones are therapeutic, meaning that they can help us outgrow thoughts, behaviors, and patterns that no longer serve us. As long as the right gems are being worn, and they’re the right quality, this process is virtually always for the greatest good, resulting in an improvement to the quality of our lives as a whole as time goes on.

2.) Gemstones for Abundance

I’ve also been getting inquiries lately about what gemstones people should wear to ensure financial security. Needless to say, we cannot claim that gemstones will have a literal influence on anyone’s personal finances at any given time, simply because there are far too many variables for us to guarantee it consistently.

What gems can do: A properly prescribed Jyotish gemstone will promote the karmic frequency of abundance. How abundance manifests will vary from person to person. Sometimes it does manifest as a literal increase in income – we had quite a success story of this happening last week with a client’s sister and her new emerald – but other times abundance presents itself in other ways. One thing is for certain: it’s up to the gemstone wearer to stay in an abundance-oriented mentality in order to recognize it when it does show up!

Gemstones can help us make use of what we have to work with already and they can help us figure out how to get what we need for extra support. They can promote synchronicity, allowing significant events click into place for us. They can also help us see opportunities that we may not have noticed before. Sometimes the only thing we need to ride on a powerful wave of prosperity is clearly recognizing the best path forward for ourselves, and gems can help us see that path with certainty and confidence.

If the feeling of resource insecurity starts to creep up for you, you might consider experimenting with observing what is truly still in abundance around you. There’s a good chance you will find a lot there. I also recommend offering tangible acts of service to those less fortunate if you have the privilege of doing so. Helping others selflessly is a powerful remedy that does wonders for the psyche and for the heart.

3.) Gemstones for Faith

We are not a religious institution, but everyone at Astrological Gem has their own spiritual signature that helps us maximize the integrity of the work we do. We all wear our Jyotish gemstones regularly and with pride.

My experience with my own gems these days is that they are keeping me in a very profound state of faith. When I feel myself dipping into a frequency of fear or nervous tension, my gems remind me to me keep an eye on the bigger picture and to stay focused on the importance of the work I do.

I’m currently wearing all of my Jupiter gemstones for wisdom, personal growth, spiritual development, and good luck. I’m wearing my Sun gems for courage and empowerment. I know that fear can be loud but trust and love are so much clearer. My gems help me keep my focus and attention what is truly important.

Just for fun, I’ll put a photo below of the altar in my apartment since I’m working from home for now. I’ve got Durga, Kali, Hanuman, and a lot of crystals on my team here.

That said, Astrological Gem is still open! We have only one employee in the office for safety but we’re reliably sending and receiving shipments every day. Our jewelers are still working too. I’m on the email lines answering all of your questions as quickly as I can and am enjoying taking orders remotely. Hearing about your own experiences is still as valuable to me as always, so feel free to keep the personal updates coming too.
