Jay Boyle is a GIA Graduate Gemologist with over 34 years of experience in every area of the gem business. For the past fourteen years he has also been the Senior Gemologist and Gemstone Buyer for Jewelry Television, a TV Shopping Network that has become the largest retail seller of colored gemstones worldwide. He is a frequent contributor to the gem trade press and by invitation, a participant of International forums on Gemstone Industry nomenclature, Ethics and Gemstone Laboratory guidelines. Since the early 1980’s, Jay has been a primary supplier of untreated Jyotish gemstones to Vedic Astrologers and their clients. His mission is to provide the right gems to the right people for the right purpose, for the betterment of his customers and the world. In addition, Jay’s forty year involvement with meditation and inner work has created an appreciation of the finer, more subtle aspects of selecting gemstones with that sweet, sattvic feel. Jay lives with his wife Lenora in Fairfield, Iowa.
Tiffany April Raines is the Certified Vedic Gemologist and Head of Sales at Astrological Gem. She joined the team in 2007 as a webmaster and a scientific skeptic. Doubting that astrological gemstones really worked, but curious by nature, she began researching client experiences in depth and testing every kind of gem she could on herself. Undeniable results converted her into a believer and eventually a practitioner of Jyotish. In 2012 she studied at the American College of Vedic Astrology and in 2014 became Astrological Gem’s Head of Sales. In 2015 she became a Certified Gemstone Advisor through the Planetary Gemologists Association whose website continues to feature her writing on Vedic Gemology. Wearing several powerful gemstones of her own, she has served thousands of clients with research-based wisdom and intuitive insight, publishes popular myth-busting articles at AstrologicalGemBlog.com, and has grown to become one of the most sought after Jyotish gemstone advisors in the world. Tarah has been fascinated, from a very young age, by the science and beauty of gemstones. After graduating with honors from the Univeristy of Iowa with a degree in Business Economics, she enrolled full-time in the Graduate Gemology program at the Gemological Institute of America. Upon receiving her G.G. and A.J.P. (accredited jewelry professional) she moved to Fairfield, Iowa where she worked in retail jewelry sales before taking a full-time position, in 2009, as the inventory manager and jewelry coordinator at Astrological Gem.
