Those interested in increasing their feelings of generosity and goodwill, their success with higher education and philosophy, and the well-being of their children and partners will also enjoy the benefits of a powerful Jupiter gemstone.

The Vedic rising signs that report the best results with yellow sapphires are Aries, Leo, Scorpio, Sagittarius, and Pisces ascendants. Jupiter’s warm expansiveness is extremely complimentary to the fire signs of the Zodiac, and usually to the water signs of the Zodiac as well. Gemini ascendants may experience benefit to their career and relationships with yellow sapphire. Cancer ascendants report great results from Jupiter gemstones when Moon and Jupiter are both well placed in the Jyotish chart, or when yellow sapphire is worn along with a very powerful pearl to strengthen the Moon. This ensures that the most auspicious significations possible are drawn from strengthening Jupiter in the Cancer chart. Depending on the rising sign of the wearer, Jupiter gemstones are most vibrationally compatible with ruby, red coral, and/or pearl.

If you are looking to buy a powerful Jupiter gemstone, it is extremely important to remember that not all yellow sapphires are created equal. Most stones on the market are filled with inclusions that make them unsuitable for Jyotish and Ayurveda. In order to get results from your gem, it must be free from eye-visible inclusions. The ideal color for a Vedic yellow sapphire falls within the range of a light, pleasing lemon yellow color to a rich, vibrant, golden yellow color. The richer the color, the more powerful the gemstone will be.

It is critical that a Vedic yellow sapphire is unheated/untreated if any astrological benefit is to be obtained. Heat-treated sapphires produce no effect at all for Jyotish.

At Astrological Gem, we recommend a minimum of 2 carats to receive tangible benefits from a yellow sapphire. Larger sizes – as long as the stones are Jyotish quality – are much stronger in their power. Yellow sapphire is traditionally set in gold, and worn in a ring on the index finger. Our customers report excellent results with yellow sapphire pendants, too. If one is on a budget and can only afford a silver jewelry setting, this is acceptable, as long as the stone is Jyotish quality and is set to lightly touch the skin.

If one is on a budget of $1,000 or less, we strongly suggest yellow topaz as an alternative to yellow sapphire. A minimum of 3 carats is recommended to receive tangible benefit. If one is on a budget of $500 or less, a top quality citrine can be worn. We recommend a minimum of 8 carats for citrine, but whenever possible, it is best to go much larger – a 20 or 30 carat citrine, set in a pendant, is a wonderful and affordable Jupiter remedy.

If the benefits of Jupiter gemstones could be summed up into one word, I would personally choose the word growth. Almost all of the results our clients experience are related to this quality in some way or another. With very powerful yellow sapphires, sometimes this growth happens quicker than the wearer may have been anticipating, and some adjustments need to be made to accommodate the new momentum being experienced. When preparing to buy a yellow sapphire, it is good to also prepare for this upcoming force of expansion in your life – spiritually, personally, and professionally.
